When God Slows You Down on Purpose

There are moments when life doesn’t move at the pace we planned — and instead of momentum, we meet resistance. Doors don’t open. Energy feels low. Progress slows.
It’s easy to assume something is wrong. But sometimes God slows us down on purpose.
Not to punish us. Not to delay us. But to protect us from moving ahead without clarity, alignment, or obedience.
I’ve learned that slowing down can be an invitation to listen more closely — to examine motives, refine faith, and rebuild foundations that will sustain what’s coming next.
God’s timing doesn’t rush preparation. And the pause you’re in may be doing more work than visible progress ever could.
If you feel slowed, stalled, or redirected — don’t fight it. Ask what’s being formed in you here. This season may be shaping the strength you’ll need for what’s ahead.
